We don’t want to change our habits. Really boxed water is better?

Some like it in boxes. The consumption of bottled water has grown exponentially those past years and more and more companies see an easy way to make profits. Basically you 1) find some non toxic springs, 2) create a brand, 3) start selling water. But now it seems that the last devil’ trick are plastic bottles. So in order to keep selling your water you had to put water into something different. Glass? Way too expensive and now a little bit outdated. So the magicians of Tetrapak® arrived and we’re assisting to a tetra-shift of some products’ packaging. Water is one of the last in the family.

I’ll put next what’s on the corrected box in the image, but what is important is the fact that companies that claim their green soul and the love they have for Mother Earth they’re absolutely not trying to find different ways of consumption. We (as we drink their water) are not trying to make tap water more sexy or pushing (asking for) on refillable glass bottles at the mall.

We want to keep drinking our bottled water and then throw the container away. Too simple to change it.

The text:

Here we ask you to spend some time and let you convince that you’ve made the right choice.

Why This Water is better ?

First and foremost we do not want you to change the fact that still you had to buy something. Now our branded product is way better than ugly plastic bottles. More we keep cutting trees –of course- but just those issues from industrial forests that grow where primary forests used to.

The trees used to make this box comes from certified well industrially managed forests of Eucalyptus and Pines in which no animals can live and that do not allow other species to grow.

The creation and distribution (still necessary as you need something to hold in your hands) of this box has a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to plastic bottles. The footprint is huge if compared with tap water, but well, better not thinking about this.

This box is recyclable by your existing recycling service. Hopefully you have one. Please don’t focus your attention on the fact that recycling still pumps water, electricity, that recycling produces CO2 and -yes!- it gives someone a cool job to do.

We really care about the water’s supply. 10% of our profit is donated to world water relief foundations. We feel any one who consume our product (YOU) is in a privileged position so we feel enthusiastic to charge 10% more on our products to help him or her feeling better. Clear enough ? If not read it again (on a new box please).

We really care about the trees. So much so that we donate yet another 10% (that’s why this water is so expensive although tasteless) of our profit to industrial reforestation foundations (same friends that above). So when you’re drinking this water actually you are :

  • Helping us cutting trees
Demanding us to use chemicals, electricity and water to produce the box
Asking for your box to be filled with water and shipped to your supermarket
Going with your car to buy this water
Throwing this box away and asking for it to be recycled (see above)
Eventually helping some « foundations » to plant more cloned plants.
